At 10 Thread Embroidery we are animal lovers through and through and are proud humans to three rescue pets: dogs Luke and Lulu, and Hudson the cat.

We love all types of pets and appreciate the special place that they hold in their humans' hearts.

We offer a range of embroidery services for you and your pets.

Pet Portraits

Looking for a unique gift? Wanting a keepsake of a much cherished pet? A pet portrait is the purr-fect choice.

Using a photo of your choice, we hand draw a portrait of your pet. Portraits are then digitised ready to be embroidered in one of three styles - outline, filled and raw-edge applique. Portraits are available in different forms including as a framed artwork, a cushion cover, a tote bag, a quilted wall hanging or a lap or bed quilt. Prices vary depending on the style and form of portrait that you want.

Outline portrait

We create an outline image that can be embroidered either in one thread colour, or in assorted colours.

The pet's name can be embroidered onto the portrait and is included in the price.

Fill portrait

The fill portrait involves using embroidery to colour the drawn image of your pet. Colours are closely matched to the colour of your pet to create an element of realism.

Raw-edge applique

This portrait style involves drawing your pet and then layering different fabrics to "colour" the image. Stitches are sewn over the fabric to add texture. Features, such as the eyes, nose and mouth, are embroidered to create depth and realism.

Cushion covers can be made in one of three sizes and we use fabrics to suit your decor or colour preferences. Sashing and quilting are also available.

Pet bandanas

Your pet will look pawsome in a personalised, embroidered bandana. Available in a range of sizes and in a style that your pet's collar threads through.

Collar and leads

We can embroider your pet's name and your contact number onto their collar or lead.

We embroider horse rugs, dog coats and pet towels and blankets.
